The Tropenmuseum in the Netherlands has invited Maroon artists Obentiye Boodoe and Oscar Adogoare to participate in the highly acclaimed ‘Art of Survival-exhibition‘ that centers around the origins and present existence of Maroon communities in Suriname.
Obentiye traveled to the Netherlands to attend the opening ceremony of the exhibition. Adogo, however, was prevented to do so due to his work obligations. Both artists have garnered excellent reviews for their work by visitors of the exhibition.
